We are a bunch of good friends from Heist-op-den-Berg and surroundings. We have known each other since our childhood years but in the meantime we are in our forties. Since 2009 we have decided to set up a kubbteam because we love to play the game.
We have chosen Dissers as team name. It actually comes from 'to diss' which means as much as taunting someone or bullying, but always in a non-hurting way.
Our goal is to participate in as many national and international tournaments as possible every year. We have already achieved several great victories at numerous Belgian prestigious tournaments as well as a 3rd place in the final ranking of the Belgian kubb competition. But we are also very successful internationally. A small selection of our best results:
Since 2012, we have been organizing our own kubb tournament, called Dissers Kubb Trophy, every year. Our tournament is part of the Belgian Kubb Competition (Kovera Kubb League) that is organized by the Kubb Federation. From 2017, it has become a two-day event because the evening before a 1vs1 kubb tournament has been added with the appropriate name Battle for the King / Queen of the Night.
Below you will find a small selection of our photos.
